Fees and Charges

All rates include FICA (7.65%), Federal Taxes (0.80%), State Unemployement Taxes (1.11% average over 7 years), Workers' Compensation Rate (Warehouse Workers-10.36% & Administrative-0.55%), and Administrative and Payroll costs (8.00%).

Additional fees that may be billed to your company include drug testing @ $20.00/person (in-house drug test), credit check @ $5.00/person (obtained through D&M Credit Co.), and criminal background check, fees vary depending on state where the check is being done (Norred & Associates.).

Our fees are guaranteed for one year. At the end of the year we will evaluate the amount of business and look at the possibility of renegotiating our contract. Several factors can affect the rates we offer to our clients. We work very hard at keeping workers' compensation claims low and therefore we have been able to keep rates as low as possible over the last several years. We also work hard at placing employees on new job assignments if they are laid off or a long term assignment comes to an end. This helps to keep our state unemployement tax rate low and allows us to work with an average that we have been able to use since 1998. Other factors that effect the rates and encourage a discount for our clients are: the number of temporary employees that a company hires onto our payroll, the length of time employees will be on our payroll (if it exceeds our 8 week minimum), and the length of time we do business with a company. We also offer a discount for payrolling employees. For example, if a company wants to hire a temporary employee that they have referred to our agency, we do not charge them the same markup as we would for someone we found.

Invoices are sent to companies on a weekly basis. They are mailed out every Friday and reflect the hours worked by employees from the previous week. Invoices are due upon receipt.

Quality Initiatives

Jerome Personnel/Business Temps strives for quality with each placement our agency makes. To ensure our clients are completely satisfied follow-up by a placement counselor is performed throughout the length of our employees' assignments. This process begins the first day of the job assignment, by the counselor calling the client to make sure the employees have arrived safely and on time. At the end of the first day, the counselor calls again to see how the employees performed and if the client is satisfied with their choice of candidates. We ask each client at this point, when it would be convenient for his or her counselor to call again. We realize that your time is extremely valuable, and we do not want to be calling needlessly. As a rule, our counselors like to call at the end of the first week, a few weeks later, and a week before the eight week temp to perm program comes to an end. This helps remind the client that the employees are available for permanent hire. Please keep in mind, we are available at any time the client needs to reach us with problems regarding their temporary employees.
